Notice of the 136th Annual General Meeting of Tennis New Zealand Incorporated


Notice is hereby given to the members of Tennis New Zealand Inc that the 2022 Annual General Meeting of Tennis New Zealand will be held in Auckland, Ellerslie Event Centre, 100 Ascot Avenue, Ellerslie , Auckland, from 9.30 am on Saturday 29 October 2022.  The AGM is open to anyone from the tennis community.


1. DELEGATES

Regional Centres may appoint two (2) Delegates and each Affiliate may appoint one (1) Delegate to represent it at the Tennis NZ AGM. Tennis NZ will pay for travel and where required, one night’s accommodation costs for these delegates. 


Associations have also been invited to attend the AGM and Tennis NZ will pay, where required, travel and one night’s accommodation costs for one (1) representative from each Association in attendance.   Association’s representatives will not have voting rights. 


All Regions, Affiliates and Associations must advise Tennis NZ of their nominated delegate(s) who will attend the AGM by Thursday 29 September, 2022.  This can be sent to [email protected]


All delegates attending the AGM will be responsible for organising their own travel to and from the AGM.  Tennis NZ will coordinate all accommodation bookings.  


2. NOTICE OF AGM BUSINESS

Proposed motions and other items of business must be received by Tennis NZ, in writing, no later than 12 noon, Thursday  29 September, 2022. This can be sent to [email protected]


3. AGM AGENDA

An agenda containing the business to be discussed at the AGM will be circulated on or before: - Friday 30 September, 2022. 4. HONORARY VICE-PRESIDENT (1 Year Term)Tennis Northern Region Inc, Tennis Auckland Region Inc, and Tennis Waikato-Bays Region Inc referred to in the Tennis NZ Constitution as Group 1, are invited to nominate a person for the role of Honorary Vice-President to take over from the present incumbent, Dick Garratt whose term will end at the conclusion of the 2022 AGM.  This nomination must be received by Tennis NZ [email protected] in writing by 12 noon, Thursday 29 September, 2022.

Tennis NZ will pay for the travel and accommodation costs for the nominee to attend the AGM. 

4. TRAVEL

Flights for Regional Centre, Associations and Affiliate delegates will be reimbursed by Tennis NZ up to a maximum of an Air NZ Seat + Bag fare. Delegates driving to the AGM from outside the Auckland city boundary will be reimbursed at the rate of 74c per km.
