Saturday, 05 September 2020

Artem Sitak and his partner Igor Zelenay have won the doubles title at the ATP Challenger tournament in Ostrava in the Czech Republic.

Sitak and Zelenay have beaten Polish pair Karol Drzewiecki and Szymon Walkow 7-5 6-4 in the final. Sitak has now won 13 ATP Challenger titles.

The Kiwi and his Slovakian partner made a poor start with Zelenay dropping his opening service game in the second game but they quickly recovered to take a close opening set in 40 minutes.

Sitak and Zelenay broke Walkow to love in the third game of the second set and took control wrapping up the match in an hour and 14 minutes.

Sitak and Zelenay now head to Kitzbuhel in Austria for the ATP tournament there and will find out tomorrow if they are in.
