Daniell through to doubles quarters in Majorca

New Zealand doubles player Marcus Daniell and his Austrian partner Philipp Oswald are through to the quarter finals at the ATP 250 tournament in Majorca.

 They have beaten the Dutch pair of Sander Arends and Matwe Middelkoop 6-3 6-2 in 59 minutes.

 They will face Israel’s Jonathan Erlich and Belarussian Andrei Vasilevski for a place in the semis.

Daniell and Oswald are 15th in the race to qualify for the season ending ATP Finals and will be seeded at Wimbledon. Michael Venus meanwhile is spending the week practicing with his new doubles partner German Tim Puetz while Artem Sitak is teaming up with Argentine Federico Delbonis at Wimbledon.
