James Watt and Finn Reynolds have reached the final of the ATP Challenger tournament in Jinan, China.

In their semifinal on Friday, the Kiwi duo defeated the second seeded pairing of Blake Bayldon from Australia and the United States’ Nathaniel Lammons 6-4 6-4.

There was just one break of serve in each set, with Watt and Reynolds never giving their opponents an opportunity to break back, even though they only served one ace between them over the match.

In the final, Watt and Reynolds, who are the third seeds, will play against the top seeded Indian duo of Rithvik Choudary Bollipalli and Arjun Kadhe.

Kiwi Lulu Sun is scheduled to play at the WTA 125 tournament in Jinan, which starts next week.

Meanwhile, in Wuhan, China, Erin Routliffe and her temporary partner from Canada, Leylah Fernandez, have lost a tight second round match at the WTA 1000 tournament.

They were defeated 4-6 6-4 10-4 by Linda Noskova and Rebecca Sramkova.
