Main draws are set at the ITF tournaments in Wellington
Two New Zealanders have come through qualifying to reach the main draw in the men’s singles at the ITF US $15,000 tournament in Wellington.
Rob Reynolds and Alex Klintcharov have both won two qualifying matches.
Ajeet Rai is the top seed and will play Aussie Jake Delaney in the first round. Second seeded Australian Thomas Fancutt meets young Kiwi Jack Loutit. There are 11 New Zealanders in the main draw.
Three Kiwis have qualified in the women’s singles, Taleia Tuatao, Renee Zhang and Leah Patuwairua.
There are 12 Kiwis in the women’s main draw. Paige Hourigan is seeded second and plays German qualifier Denise Torrealba. Valentina Ivanov seeded 5th meets Greek qualifier Alkmini Giannakogiorgiou. Vivian Yang is seeded 8th and has been drawn against Aussie Angelina Graovac.
