Hourigan storms into semi finals

Top seed Paige Hourigan has turned in a dominant performance to reach the semi-finals in the singles at the ITF US $15,000 tournament in Monastir in Tunisia. Scores and results: https://bit.ly/3szci3F

After a lengthy rain delay Hourigan has outclassed Dutchwoman Stephanie Visscher in straight sets 6-3, 6-2 in one hour and 13 minutes. The 24-year-old Kiwi was dominant on serve throughout and broke her opponent twice in the first set and finished strongly in the second set to complete a comfortable win. Hourigan will play Hungary’s Amarissa Kiara Toth for a place in the final.

Hourigan and her Japanese partner Erika Sema have been beaten in the semi finals of the doubles. They have lost in straight sets 6-3 6-3 to Spain’s Rebeka Masarova and Latvia’s Daniela Vismane.
