NZ 14u Girls Team Finish 8th in World Junior Tennis Qualifying

The New Zealand Girls 14u team of Rosalie PollynEmme Gale and Aliyah Daly and Captain Chris Bint reached the quarterfinals of the World Junior Tennis Qualifying event in Kuching, Malaysia.

The NZ team had gritty performances in pool play beating both Nepal and Indonesia 2-1. In the final round of the pool play NZ went down against top seeds China. Despite the loss, New Zealand joined China as the top two teams to advance to the Quarterfinal stage.

NZ drew Chinese Taipei in the quarterfinals going down 0-3. 

In the 5th - 8th Playoffs NZ played Kazakhstan and Hong Kong in rain interrupted playoffs to finish 8th.

The top for teams - China, Japan, Chinese Taipei and Korea Rep advance to the World Finals.
