Routliffe nails first win in Miami

Erin Routliffe and her Polish partner Alicia Rosolska have had a strong first up win at the Miami Open WTA 1000 tournament in Florida.

They have beaten the Romanian pair of Monica Niculescu and Irina Begu in the first round. It what was an incredibly close match lasting 2 hours and 10 minutes, Routliffe and Rosolska have prevailed 7-6 (3) 7-6 (4).

Michael Venus and his British partner this week Lloyd Glasspool will be in action tomorrow in the last match of the day on court 5 against the second seeds in the men’s doubles, Joe Salisbury and Rajeev Ram.
