Sitak wins through to face Venus and Daniell

Wednesday, 03 February 2021

New Zealand tennis player Artem Sitak is through to play fellow Kiwis Michael Venus and Marcus Daniell at the ATP warm up tournament in Melbourne, The Great Ocean Road Open.

But there's uncertainty whether the match will happen due to the positive Covid-19 test of a worker in one of the player quarantine hotels.

Sitak and Argentine partner Federico Delbonis have beaten German Dominik Koepfer and American Tennys Sandgren 6-7(5) 6-3 10-8.

They were scheduled to face Venus and Daniell at Melbourne Park today but all matches have been cancelled for the day while up to 600 players and officials are tested.
