Kiwi doubles trio in action tonight

Wednesday, 21 October 2020

New Zealand's ATP doubles trio are all in action tonight in tournaments in Antwerp, Cologne and Istanbul.

Kiwi number one and world number 10 Michael Venus and his Australian partner John Peers face Italian Simone Bolelli and Argentina's Maximo Gonzalez in the quarter finals at the ATP tournament in Antwerp.

Marcus Daniell and his Austrian partner Philipp Oswald face German wildcards Daniel Altmaier and Oscar Otte in the first round of the Cologne ATP tournament, fresh from their success winning the title in Sardinia at the weekend.

Daniell can't wait to hit the fast indoor courts but is expecting a tricky match.

"It's always playing wildcards who are good tennis players. They don't have anything to lose."

Artem Sitak and his Swedish partner this week Andre Goransson are at an ATP Challenger tournament in Istanbul and face Portugal's Frederico Ferreira Silva and Belarussian Ilya Ivashka in the first round tonight.
